No, not when installed by approved Loft-E® installers! Our raised subframe system is engineered specifically for modern truss roofs. It does not squash the 270mm-350mm insulation quilt and transfers load safely into the truss web nodes, fully satisfying NHBC Technical Standards.
While the Loft-E® leg system and subframe components are engineered to hold well in excess of domestic needs, we recommend a safe storage load of 25kg per square metre. For optimal structural care, we always advise spreading out heavy objects (such as storage boxes and luggage) evenly across the floor area rather than concentrating weight in one spot.
